New project

So I had been going around thinking of doing a new project. I didnt know what it should be, until last night while staring at the lost trying to sleep.
I've been working on a piece of artwork of my Warlock character in World of Warcraft in a Tier 11 set (looks pretty much like a medieval executioner), but I have had some problems with the coloring and such, so I havent finished it yet.
I am so happy about the piece and the way I have made it, that I decided that I want to give it a go at 3D again and try make the same picture but only in 3D as well! It will require a lot of work and post-processing, but I think I can make it. :)
I would show off how the picture look so far though, but I would say it ruins a bit the fun! I will try to finish the picture soon though, because it really annoys me to see a good picture like that just rot in my CG folder...

Random

Been in random drawing mood lately, which is good. Last night I finished up a drawing of a character from the old assed serie I have been working on ages ago. Earlier I made a character from that serie as well, this time around this is obviously someone else with almost the same outfit. Here is the picture:

Like I said, it is a rather quick one, so I havent focused that much on making it look too pretty at all. I just wanted to try and draw an old character in a "new" style, since this character was drawn way back when everything just had to look like some silly anime stuff (not that my stuff doesnt look silly anymore! :P).
Either way, her name is Scarlett, obviously named after Scarlett O'hara because I have a thing for that name. Scarlett is like most of the other main characters in my story thingie a student who studies abroad in Japan in the *insert random japanese city name*. She was adopted by a british family, because she became an orphan at a very young age. Throughout her life she had to deal with some psychological problems, she was certain that she had some psychic abilities, but no one would believe her so she had to take a lot medication to keep the "strange thoughts" at bay.
One day she found out that she had relatives in Japan, but there was no exact trace to who they were and where they lived, but it motived her to learn more about the Japanese culture and decided to move to Japan to study at this international school. At this school she made many friends, both local and students who come from foreign countries, one person i particular, called Zoƫ, a partially french/american woman, became good friends.
Obviously since this is a totally magical girl ish crappleshizzle, she gets contacted by this strange woman who tells her that something is amiss at her school and she was chosen to protect her fellow students and friends and shit. She gets this random robe and rod-like weapon to beat the enemies senseless.

Oh yeah, and obviously her hair is dyed! That is why I made it look like the roots are growing out.. because its totally unnatural to have silly hair colors.

*aim*

So, I was working on a new artwork. I was really proud of it, until I tried shading it (I had already amde the basic coloring, so all I would need to shade it and it would be done.) so I got mad and decided to pull out another "old" project... And I finished it within 10 minutes. I only needed a few coloring here and there, and then it was done. Can't believe I didnt finish it before! So here it is:

This is my roomate and really good friend's character at World of Warcraft. Her name is Liora and the attire she has one the picture, isnt what she got in the game of course, but what my friend wanted her to look like, if she was a "real" hunter, if you get me. I tried to make some perspective in the picture, so it looks like she is having the bow right in your face, thus its blurryness. Atleast I think it is important to make sure to make it look proper in perspective, as I have seen many who have made a digital drawing and tried to show perspective without the use of depth of field or perspective blur.

Either way, enjoy this new work. Maybe in a few days another one will come up, if I manage to find out how to pull those shadings out. Argh!
